Bartram Conference features Mercer University Press authors and artist

Dorinda G. Dallmeyer, author of Bartram’s Living Legacy: The Travels and the Nature of the South, joined scientists, artists and other writers on March 4, 2011, at the Telfair Museum’s Jepson Center in Savannah for the conference “William Bartram’s Georgia: Art and Science on the Southern Frontier” discussing Bartram’s continuing influence on science and the arts: Other presenters included John Lane, Janisse Ray, Philip Lee Williams, Philip Juras, and Dr. Marc Jolley.

In addition, artist Philip Juras will have his work on display at the Telfair Museum through May:
