MUP Authors Win Georgia Author of the Year Awards
According to the Georgia Writers Association, twenty-four awards were given in twelve genres to Georgia authors who published in 2010 at the awards ceremony held on June 11th. Mercer University Press winning authors included Philip Lee Williams for his work of poetry, The Flower Seeker: An Epic Poem of William Bartram, Larry L. McSwain for his biography Loving Beyond Your Theology: The Life and Ministry of Jimmy Raymond Allen, and Toni P. Anderson in the history category for Tell Them We Are Singing for Jesus: The Original Fisk Jubilee Singers and Christian Reconstruction, 1871-1878.
