It’s National Burger Day. Get Your Eats On.

9780881464795It’s National Burger Day and that means you better be grilling me something right now. I’m not kidding. The folks at Mercer University Press love food, especially burgers. Here’s how we like ours:

Marc: Cooked well-done with lettuce and bacon, dry

Marsha: “All the way,” but hold the onions and cooked medium well

Jenny: Well-done, with pepper jack and lettuce and tomato, sometimes mayo, sometimes ketchup, sometimes both—Jenny breaks all the rules.

Mary Beth: Cooked medium rare, ketchup, onion, lettuce, and tomato

Candi: Everything on it except tomatoes. Othewise, go nuts. Jalapenos, loose  change, whatever.

Kevin: Cooked medium with American cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Maybe with extra cheese. Sometimes I go wild.

Pressley: My burgers are made of fresh-caught campers. Any that I can find. Sometimes I add a dash of fresh honey. I like to eat them in front of the surviving campers; it adds ambience what with the shrieks and all.
